Over past five years, 20 families have left Armenia every day – Gohar Ghumashyan

Being Armenian is not a status, but the daily work required for the homeland, Gohar Ghumashyan, a member of the Our Way movement, said during the official presentation of the Strong Armenia party.

“The Armenian diaspora was established long time ago, and its causes have varied at different times. Today I want to talk about the labor diaspora. These people have been leaving Armenia since 1991. At that time, about 1.4 million Armenians left our country, and in the past 5 years more than 140,000 people have departed. It turns out that every day, 20 families leave Armenia,” Ghumashyan said.
