Donald Trump sees himself as ‘messiah’ – Viktor Litovkin
Speaking with Alpha News, military observer Viktor Litovkin commented on US actions in the Middle East region and strikes on Iranian territory.
“The situation around Iran is complicated. You know that about 40 American ships have approached, along with two nuclear aircraft carriers, each carrying 90 strike aircraft, and destroyers armed with 60–65 Tomahawk cruise missiles. This is a very formidable force—not to mention the submarines located not far from Iran’s shores. And this is a threat to the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran. As for whether there will be war or not, a ground operation will definitely not happen, because Trump will not dare to do that. But I believe that Tomahawk strikes and bombings of Iran are likely. Because Trump cannot simply withdraw after spending enormous sums to deploy such a fleet to the Persian Gulf. Walking away without action is not his style,” Litovkin said.
According to the observer, Donald Trump has an inflated sense of his own superiority, and his actions are driven by this feeling.
“He wants to deprive Iran of the ability to develop its own missiles and enrich uranium, so that Iran supposedly does not create an atomic bomb. Although Iran is not creating an atomic bomb—it is prohibited by a fatwa of Iran’s Supreme Leader, which is observed. Even the IAEA confirms this, as does US intelligence. But he wants to demonstrate who is in charge, to assert his dominance over Iran and show his strength so that others will be afraid. That is the main goal behind Trump’s actions. And it is not only about making Iran compliant—other countries must also obey the will of the United States. Because Trump considers himself a ‘messiah,’ he sees himself as God’s heir on earth. Everyone must obey him. And those who do not obey—will face trouble,” the expert concluded.
