Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with his US counterpart, Donald Trump, about the situation in the Middle East, the peace process in Ukraine, and developments in Venezuela, presidential aide Yury Ushakov reported.

“The main focus was on the conflict involving Iran and the ongoing bilateral negotiations on a Ukrainian settlement with US participation,” Ushakov told reporters.

During the conversation, Putin emphasized the need to resolve disagreements between Washington and Tehran through political and diplomatic means, sharing his views on the matter. Trump, in turn, offered his assessment of events in the context of a joint operation with Israel.

The call took place at the initiative of the American leader and lasted about an hour. Both presidents expressed readiness to maintain regular communication. Ushakov stressed that their discussion would have practical significance.
