Pashinyan’s “war or peace” thesis is pre-election blackmail: Karen Kocharyan
According to the political strategist, Nikol Pashinyan’s nervous state is linked to his uncertainty about what steps the Russian side will take. Karen Kocharyan stated this in a live broadcast on Alpha News, commenting on Pashinyan’s phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin that took place the day before.
“Pashinyan is tense because he doesn’t understand Russia’s position. That is the only thing that remains unclear to him. I wouldn’t rule out that with this phone call he was trying to get a better grasp of the situation,” Kocharyan noted.
According to him, Pashinyan’s “war or peace” thesis amounts to pre-election blackmail.
“I wouldn’t rule out that these words will have no impact on part of society. But people should ask themselves: why should there be a war at all, if Azerbaijan has essentially gotten what it wanted? In other words, if Azerbaijan were to start a war now, would it be doing so in order to seize sovereign Armenian territories?” Kocharyan concluded.
