Following Nikol Pashinyan’s statements yesterday, relatives of fallen servicemen have approached the Prosecutor General’s Office.
To note, during a government question-and-answer session, the Prime Minister acknowledged that in 2020, during the 44-day war, the authorities had consciously accepted casualties in order to preserve the country’s statehood.
Those present signed a criminal complaint and submitted it to the supervisory authority. According to attorney Vahan Hovhannisyan, Pashinyan has effectively admitted to being responsible for the deaths of thousands of people, which led to the loss of Nagorno-Karabakh. The lawyer emphasized that such statements provide grounds for initiating criminal proceedings under articles pertaining to high treason and crimes against humanity.
