Together with the maestro, they will present a rich and vibrant program that brings together different styles and eras of jazz music.
The concert program will include famous jazz and blues hits that have become genre classics, as well as original compositions by Gary Kesayan—composer, pianist, and one of the key figures of the jazz scene.
This anniversary concert marks a significant milestone—60 years of the maestro’s artistic career. The event will be not only a musical celebration but also an important landmark reflecting Gary Kesayan’s long-standing contribution to the development of jazz.
A graduate of the Yerevan State Conservatory, composer and keyboardist Gary Kesayan was born and raised in Yerevan. In the 1990s, he emigrated to the United States, where he continued his artistic career.
The occasion for his return to his homeland after a long break was the First Yerevan International Jazz Festival in 1998. Around the same time, his debut album For You was released in the U.S. and gained recognition among jazz enthusiasts.
In 2000, Gary Kesayan and his band were named the best jazz band in the United States.
The audience can expect an unforgettable evening filled with live energy, virtuoso performance, and the atmosphere of true jazz.
The concert is organized with the support of Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC, Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine CJSC, and GPM Gold LLC.
