The Information and Legal Center “Russian Community of the Republic of Armenia” is operating successfully in the country. This is no ordinary public reception office with paper logbooks, it is a fully realized digital ecosystem providing round-the-clock, free-of-charge support. Under one roof, it brings together an information portal, a Telegram channel, a hotline, online application and consultation windows, targeted assistance in crisis situations, and an automated feedback system reaching tens of thousands of users.
The defining feature of the center is its practical orientation. People come here not for abstract explanations, but for tangible involvement. The center’s resources operate around the clock, accepting applications concerning violations of the rights and lawful interests of compatriots. Staff provide guidance on legal and social matters and assist in difficult life situations from initial consultation through to full case support. The “Russian Community” has become a straightforward and accessible channel of comprehensive support for those who need action, not sympathy.
The work of the center, however, extends well beyond legal and targeted assistance. Its information portal provides systematic coverage of life within Armenia’s Russian community: the status of the Russian language, and the preservation of cultural and historical heritage. News, expert commentary, and original writing are published regularly. Dedicated sections cover spirituality, history, law, art, and literature.
A special place is held by the “Cinema Hall,” a media library featuring films, televised theatre productions, and materials on Russian history and culture. The success of this initiative speaks for itself: on March 28, 2026, a screening of the televised play In the Chekhov Spirit drew an audience of 6,300, with total viewership including the premiere exceeding 10,000 people across 12 countries.
The automated feedback system, which has already been integrated into everyday life in Armenia, deserves particular attention. It currently operates by notifying users when they connect to free Wi-Fi at the country’s airports, and through the center’s Telegram channel. From April 2026, this practice is being extended to the largest shopping centers in Yerevan. As a result, tens of thousands of compatriots regularly receive updates and messages about significant events, cultural and religious occasions, and legal news.
Members of the organization receive a digital membership card granting access to round-the-clock, free legal support. The card also opens the door to participation in cultural, educational, charitable, social, and sports programs and events, as well as competitions, quizzes, and prize draws.
Furthermore, the center’s platforms regularly cover the activities of Russian state institutions and civic organizations, allowing readers to see not a scattering of isolated news items, but a coherent picture of the Russian world in Armenia. Residents and visitors to the country can also take part in surveys and polls, sharing their views on the state of the Russian language and culture, making the audience not merely readers, but active participants in a shared dialogue.
Today, the Information and Legal Center “Russian Community of the Republic of Armenia” is a functioning mechanism of round-the-clock, free legal, informational, and targeted support which makes it a mechanism of cultural presence and direct connection with compatriots. The center’s core value is simple and clear: it does not exist for its own sake, but works for people.
