During a briefing after the government meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan commented on his own statement about philanthropist and businessman, leader of the Strong Armenia party Samvel Karapetyan, noting that it did not contain threats.
“The person you mentioned made certain promises to certain circles, including outside Armenia, which have certain levers of influence on his property. It is obvious that he will not be able to fulfill his obligations. Obviously, all this property will be taken away from him. I am very sorry about this and would not like to see the capital considered Armenian zeroed anywhere,” Pashinyan said, without specifying which circles he was referring to.
Earlier, addressing Karapetyan, Pashinyan stated: “I’m afraid that by the end of the year you will turn from a billionaire into a homeless person.”
