Armenian chess player Artur Davtyan awarded the title of grandmaster

FIDE has awarded the title of grandmaster to Artur Davtyan, a young Armenian chess player.

Davtyan won the GM Putnik 95 tournament while also meeting the grandmaster norm. Victory in this tournament was the key condition for awarding the title.
