14 people detained in election bribery case: Anti-Corruption Committee

14 people have been detained on charges of “giving and receiving electoral bribes” as part of a criminal investigation, the Anti-Corruption Committee reports.

As a reminder, Strong Armenia party spokesperson Marianna Kagramanyan earlier confirmed that detentions had taken place. Prior to that, party member Gohar Meloyan and lawyers reported that searches had been carried out at the party’s offices in Artashat. Among those detained is Strong Armenia member Asmik Amirzadyan, who is raising five adopted minor children.
