A total of 71 reports of campaign violations have been received over the recent period, said Sonya Ambarzumyan, head of the “Fair Vote” observation mission of the Federation of Youth Clubs, at a press conference.

“16 of the 71 violations were of a primary nature, involving abuse of official position and administrative and state resources. Twelve cases of hate speech, humiliation, and political intolerance were recorded. In third place was the involvement of underage children in the campaign: 7 cases. And all of this in just 7–8 days,” she said.

According to Ambarzumyan, the Civil Contract party committed two violations for which no proceedings were initiated.

“The first is related to the fact that the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia is conducting his election campaign on his official website. The second is the placement of campaign posters on private property without the owners’ consent. The Central Election Commission has not initiated administrative proceedings on these matters,” the head of the observation mission stressed.
