Armenia wins 20 medals at the U15 European Grappling Championship in Yerevan

On May 24, the 2026 European Grappling Championship for athletes under 15 was held in Yerevan, with representatives from five countries taking part.

Armenia’s national team fielded a large squad in nearly all boys’ weight categories. Two Armenian athletes also competed in the girls’ events. On home ground, the Armenian team won 20 medals, three of which were gold.

The European champions from Armenia’s national team were Ruben Sargsyan in the under-35 kg category, Narek Sargsyan in the under-53 kg category, and Monica Asryan, who won the girls’ under-40 kg event.
