Yana Egoryan wins silver at European Championships

The opening day of the European Fencing Championships in Antony, France, brought a silver medal for the Russian team. Yana Egoryan, a Russian fencer of Armenian descent, two-time Olympic champion, three-time world champion, six-time European team champion, and Honored Master of Sports of Russia, took second place on the podium in the individual saber event.

For Egoryan, this marks her first individual medal at a European championship.
