Hrayr Oganesyan becomes U-23 Greco-Roman wrestling champion of Russia

Hrayr Oganesyan from Novosibirsk region has become the U-23 Russian champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. The tournament is being held June 26–28 in Omsk. Oganesyan won the gold medal in the under-67 kg weight category, defeating Ruslan Ortanov from Moscow in the final.
In addition to Oganesyan, several other wrestlers of Armenian descent also became medalists at the U-23 Russian championship. In the under-55 kg category, Arkady Arikyan from the Krasnodar region won bronze. In the under-60 kg category, Taron Vardanyan representing the Rostov region finished third.
In the under-72 kg category, Arkady Balabekyan from the Moscow region won silver. Another silver was claimed by Narek Oganesyan from the Novosibirsk region in the under-77 kg category. Aghasi Manukyan from the Krasnoyarsk region also won bronze in the under-82 kg category.
