Mesrop Manukyan invites Babken Tunyan to a debate

A verbal exchange broke out in the corridor of the National Assembly, in the presence of journalists, between Mesrop Manukyan, an MP from the “Armenia” faction, and Babken Tunyan, an MP from the “Civil Contract” faction. The clash centered on income tax figures presented by Hayk Konjoryan, the candidate for deputy speaker of parliament, and the economic assessments behind them.

“In my assessment, Konjoryan cited irresponsible figures, and you applauded him for it. I’ll state my position in the chamber, and then I invite you to a professional debate. Do you accept my challenge?” Manukyan said.
