Candidate for defense committee chair admits “Western Azerbaijan” structure poses threats

The candidacy of Vilen Gabrielyan for chairman of the defense and security committee is under discussion in the National Assembly. Garnik Davtyan, a deputy from the “Strong Armenia” faction, asked him about the risks associated with the activities of the “Western Azerbaijan” structure.

“The risk exists. The narrative around ‘Western Azerbaijan’ does nothing to help strengthen peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Gabrielyan, who represents the “Civil Contract” party, replied.
