Former “robber” from SRC is No. 122 on Civil Contract party list: Mesrop Manukyan

Mesrop Manukyan, MP from the Armenia bloc, stated at a parliamentary session that Gevorg Sahoyan, former head of the control department of the State Revenue Committee, businessman and member of the Civil Contract party, is “your No. 122” and called him a former “robber.”

“This ‘comrade’ was head of the control department of the State Revenue Committee during Gagik Khachatryan’s time, and also held the 121st spot on the Civil Contract party list,” said Manukyan, showing a photo of Sahoyan and noting that he is also a friend of Romanos Petrosyan.

According to the MP, Sahoyan declared 230 million drams last year, held a deposit of 7.5 million, as well as $37,200 and €44,700, while living in a “pathetic and squalid house” measuring 510 square meters.

“Do you agree with this idea, dear fellow citizens, that everything is fine and everything is very good? And this person, earning a salary of 500,000 drams, is now a prominent representative of the Civil Contract party,” the MP said, addressing the parliamentarians of the ruling faction.
