There will be no school classes in Yerevan during the 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will take place in Armenia this fall, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia (MESCS) reported.

Instead, starting September 15, schools in the capital will operate on a six-day schedule for 5 weeks. As a result, students will have a two-week fall break in October instead of the usual 7 days.

The 17th Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) will take place from October 19 to 30, 2026.
