On October 13 in Warsaw, on the sidelines of a security forum, Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Armenia, met with Andrii Sybiha, Foreign Minister of Ukraine. The sides discussed the development of bilateral relations, stressing the importance of maintaining a dynamic political dialogue. Particular attention was paid to expanding trade ties and joint initiatives in multilateral formats.

Speaking at the forum, Mirzoyan also touched on the normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations. According to him, the process is already quite mature, and “we could easily see a headline in the news feed tomorrow morning about the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border,” although it remains closed for now.

The minister noted that peace with Azerbaijan has already been achieved and that Armenia intends to improve relations with its neighbors regardless of external factors. He also stressed that the country’s aspiration to become a full member of the EU implies having no conflicts with neighbors, since unresolved problems could harm the integration process.
