“We trust our partners in Armenia”: Araghchi

Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, who has arrived in Armenia for COP17, said that Tehran trusts its Armenian partners and is confident that Yerevan will not take any steps against the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“We are in close contact with our Armenian friends and we trust them. We know that they do nothing against Iran’s security. So we continue our consultation with the Armenian Authority. Very good friend, Foreign Minister, was in Tehran. We had good consultation. And today, our President will meet Prime Minister Pashanyan, maybe for the second time in two weeks. So we are in close contact,” Araghchi says.
