Armenia’s trade deficit hits record high: Karapetyan

Narek Karapetyan, head of the Strong Armenia faction, commented in the National Assembly on the agreement signed between Armenia and the United Arab Emirates. He noted that economic integration processes between Armenia and other countries are acceptable and positive, but stressed that it is also important to assess the state of the country’s economy.

“The agreements and economic integration processes that Armenia has signed with other countries are acceptable and positive for us,” Karapetyan said.

According to him, falling exports and rising imports show the state of Armenia’s economy. Armenia’s trade deficit has reached a record high, Karapetyan added.
