“Is pushing paper all you know how to do?”: Mesrop Manukyan to Audit Chamber

Page 30 of the 2025 report records a material but not pervasive misstatement of AMD 1.023 billion in the 2024 financial statements of the Ashtarak administration. This was stated in the National Assembly by Mesrop Manukyan, MP from the Armenia faction, who criticised the work of the Audit Chamber and demanded an explanation of what consequences the recorded violations lead to.

“I want to understand: does your chamber do nothing but push paper? What are the next steps?” he said.

According to Manukyan, it is crucial to understand what measures are taken after violations are identified and who is held responsible for them.
