Armenian community of Uruguay to hold a rally

These days, representatives of Armenian communities around the world are holding protests and demonstrations, raising awareness about Azerbaijan’s genocidal actions against the Armenians of Artsakh.
Within this framework, on October 5, the Armenian community of Uruguay will hold a rally in Montevideo.
The purpose of the rally is to declare the lack of commitment to human rights in the state at a time when a new genocide is unfolding in Artsakh.
The rally was organized by young Armenians of Uruguay, who welcomed the fact that Uruguay was the first in the world to recognize the Armenian Genocide in 1965.

Meanwhile, in 2023, the country ignores the continuation of this genocide, urging the victims not to “aggravate the situation.”
