Henrikh Mkhitaryan expresses gratitude to Mircea Lucescu

Former captain of the Armenian national team, Inter midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, expressed his gratitude to Romanian football manager Mircea Lucescu, who announced his retirement.

“Learning about your retirement, I’d like to express my gratitude to you Mister for your belief in my talent.

Thank you for your trust, for inspiring me and for the profound impact you had on my career. You have been more than a coach to me and your mentorship contributed to shape the athlete I am today.

Mulțumesc Mister! I wish you more than all the best,” Mkhitaryan said in a post on X.

Lucescu announced the end of his coaching career after the game with Shakhtar in the 13th round of the Ukrainian championship, which ended with the defeat of Dynamo Kyiv.

Lucescu used to be Mkhitaryan’s coach when the latter played for Shakhtar.
