France’s Emmanuel Macron says Armenia has shown ‘courage’ for joining Rome Statute

French President Emmanuel Macron emphasized Armenian courage for joining the Rome Statute during his speech at the ceremony marking the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

“I would like to mention here the courage of Armenia, which decided to join the Rome Statute, a remarkable gesture considering that the last months have brought their share of tragedies to this country and these courageous people,” he said.
