Armenian PM and Russian Deputy PM discuss unblocking communications in South Caucasus

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan discussed unblocking transport and economic communications in the South Caucasus at a meeting in Yerevan with Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk, the press service of the Armenian government reported.
The meeting was also attended by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
The sides discussed topical issues of Armenian-Russian relations within the framework of the work of the intergovernmental commission on Armenian-Russian economic cooperation, as well as topics related to cooperation in the EAEU format.
The interlocutors touched upon the possibilities of unblocking transport and economic communications in the South Caucasus.
Pashinyan noted that the Armenian government has presented the Crossroads of Peace project and is ready to unblock regional transport infrastructure based on the principles of sovereignty, jurisdiction, equality and reciprocity, the Cabinet of Ministers said in a statement.
