Vrezh Harutyunov: In Tbilisi, we will raise the issue of the detention of Armenian POWs held in Baku
On January 28, a demonstration will take place in Tbilisi, demanding the immediate release of Armenian POWs, Vrezh Harutyunov, President of Armenian Youth Union of Georgia, told Alpha News.
“On January 27-28, demonstrations will be held in more than 50 European cities in theme to the rallies that took place on October 1, 2023. That day, in Tbilisi, we also held a rally in front of the office of the European Union as well as in front of the UN office. And now the demonstration will take place on January 28 at 2:30 p.m. local time in front of the office of the European Union. The demands of the demonstration are as follows: immediately release Armenian prisoners of war, protect the rights of Artsakh Armenians, apply sanctions against Azerbaijan, and ensure the security of the Republic of Armenia. During the demonstration, we will read out our statements and also send letters to the office of the European Union,” Harutyunov noted.
He is sure that instead of giving up, the entire Diaspora should unite, stand up, and fight for Armenians of Artsakh to live freely and safely in their homeland.
“We must not break down and give up. On the contrary, we must not lose hope. We must fight and do everything so that Artsakh Armenians live freely and safely in their homeland, in Artsakh,” Harutyunov said.
