Ali Khamenei: Iran believes ‘Zangezur corridor’ will harm Armenia and continues to defend this position

Iran believes that the “Zangezur corridor” will harm Armenia and continues to defend this position, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei said during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Tehran, Mehr News Agency reports.

“We firmly believe in the development of relations with Armenia. Cooperation between the two countries will continue on the basis of interests and regardless of other nations’ policies. Foreigners should not create restrictions in relations with neighboring countries,” he said.

The sides expressed confidence that Armenia and Iran will continue to take steps to develop warm and friendly relations for the progress of both states and peoples.
