At the initiative of Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, and with the support of philanthropist and businessman Samvel Karapetyan, a children’s summer camp called “Amaras” has opened in Moscow.

The project is designed for children between the ages of 9 and 15. Its goal is to ensure that the younger generation does not forget its native language, preserves its identity, and remembers the faith of its ancestors.

The organizers promise that the camp will become, for its participants, not simply a place of rest but a genuine small corner of Armenia, carefully recreated amid the bustling Russian capital.

The realization of a project so significant for the Diaspora was made possible by the combined efforts of religious leaders and major business figures.
