Russian political scientist Yuri Kot spoke about the fate of Armenia on Alpha News, comparing it with that of Ukraine.

According to Kot, the parallels between Armenia and Ukraine suggest themselves.

“Today, Ukraine and Pashinyan are a disease on the body of the Russian people. Both are tumors on our body. A comparison with Ukraine is absolutely correct. It seems like Armenians are being pushed into bloodshed. Throwing Ukraine into a war with the Russians, the West declared that it would fight on the Ukrainians’ side. And today the West is ready to fight on the Armenians’ side. And if it could, it would fight on the Georgians’ or Moldovans’ side.

The Americans are ready to endlessly fight against the Russians in this war using our fraternal peoples, including the Slavic peoples, because, as they say, in reality, no American dies in this war with the Russians. If they succeed, there will be a perfect war again but the Armenian people will no longer be there,” he said.

According to the expert, in order to please his Western patrons, Pashinyan is trying to destroy everything that connects the Russian and Armenian peoples.

“For a long time, to put it mildly, Pashinyan did not reflect all the aspirations and hopes of the Armenian people and acted like a criminal towards Armenians. He solves the key issues in a completely anti-Armenian way. For example, let’s take Karabakh. Pashinyan surrendered it. He did not want the ‘Kazan formula’ either. In order to please the Americans, he unleashed a bloodshed, essentially evaporating Armenian territory and more than a hundred thousand Armenians. He is trying to ruin as much as possible the relations between Armenians and Russians.

The Armenian people themselves want to be friends with the Russians; they want to interact because they remember how the Russian people saved the Armenians from complete destruction by the Turks at the beginning of the 19th century, when they accepted Armenia into the Russian Empire. People remember the good that happened, and there was a lot of good back then.

But Pashinyan, again, in order to please his Western patrons, primarily the Americans, is doing exactly the opposite and trying to destroy everything that connects us. Pashinyan’s new attack in our direction is yet another proof that he is like a foreign body, a tumor. One day, the Armenians will definitely be able to get together and remove this foreign body,” Kot concluded.
