Elina Avanesyan: I will proudly represent Armenia and play for my ancestral homeland 

Russian Armenian tennis player Elina Avanesyan, No. 58, announced that she will proudly represent Armenia at the upcoming tournament.

“Honored to announce that I have received my Armenian citizenship and will proudly represent Armenia starting at the Cincinnati Open on Monday! This journey has been incredible, and I am excited to bring my best to the court and play for my ancestral homeland. Thank you to everyone for your unwavering support!” she said on Instagram.
