Karen Khachanov advances to last 16 in Miami Masters

Russian Armenian tennis player Karen Khachanov, ranked No 16, has made it to the last 16 of the Miami Masters on Monday.

Khachanov, the No 15 seed, edged out Argentina’s Francisco Serundolo, the No 20 seed, 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (5) in 2 hours and 39 minutes.

Khachanov will play Germany’s Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, in the next round. The last time Khachanov faced Zverev was in the final of the 2020 Olympics, with the latter winning.
