One day we will be forced to leave Armenian lands — Kapan resident

“Why do they shoot if the government is going to give the lands anyway?” Kapan residents question.

According to residents, there is no safe place left—not in Syunik, nor anywhere else in Armenia.

“Eventually we will have to leave and become refugees,” says one of them.

Another notes: “We are not waiting for war; we are preparing for it. If we flee, who will defend our lands? I was born here, and this is where I will leave this world.”

“It is beneficial for the authorities to maintain tensions. Apparently, the great powers benefit from it too. They keep the people in suspense to achieve their goals. As soon as they sign the agreement, one day we will be forced to leave Armenian lands,” one of the residents emphasized.
