Opposition rhetoric will soon become harsher: Vigen Hakobyan
The main political forces that have a chance of entering parliament are primarily seeking to consolidate their electorate and move forward. This was stated live on Alpha News by Vigen Hakobyan, political strategist, commenting on the election campaign in Armenia and the work of opposition parties.
“Opposition forces are trying to increase the number of participants in the upcoming elections as much as possible, since high voter turnout significantly reduces the likelihood of the re-election of the current government,” the expert noted.
Hakobyan noted that the opposition is, for now, staying within its pre-established line and running its campaign in a classic format.
“In my view, starting from the second week of the campaign, opposition rhetoric will begin to harden regardless of who initiates the provocative statements. Part of the opposition believes that one should not take the bait on Pashinyan’s provocations and that his insults should be met with measured responses. They believe that Pashinyan is seeking to draw them into that kind of rhetoric in order to discourage voters, particularly those who are still undecided or belong to the passive electorate,” the political strategist emphasized.
