“Simple Truths”: You should not swear in the presence of women

There is no such tradition that would not stem from some kind of everyday or physiological priority that people have set for themselves. A person resorts to swearing when they do not have enough vocabulary to express aggression. In the Armenian language, swearing is considered aggressive speech.

Honoring women was one of the national characteristics of Armenians and an indispensable aspect of Armenian upbringing. Swearing in the presence of women is aggression, and this aggression directly affects a woman’s health.
