Yerevan and Baku have not agreed on two articles of the future peace agreement—on refraining from international lawsuits against each other and the presence of third countries on the border, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with VGTRK and RIA Novosti.
“We have actually made great progress on the peace agreement. Out of 17 articles of this document. We have agreed on 15 out of 17 articles; 2 are left. During my latest meeting with the Armenian Prime Minister in Kazan, I heard and felt that these two articles are not agreed upon but can be accepted by Armenia, I mean on our conditions,” he said.
According to Aliyev, “one of the articles concerns refraining from international lawsuits against each other.” “The other article concerns the non-deployment of representatives of other countries on our border,” he said, adding that for final reconciliation with Azerbaijan, “Armenia must change the constitution and agree to the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group.”
