Survey conducted on traditional value priorities among Armenian youth
A roundtable discussion titled “Eurasian Perception of Traditional Values: Armenian Perspective” was held in Yerevan today. During the discussion, Professor Khachik Galstyan presented the results of expert and youth surveys conducted in Armenia.
“In February-May 2025, an unprecedented research program was implemented in Armenia with the support of the Eurasia Organization. The goal of the program was to find out traditional value perceptions among Armenian youth, as well as to discuss what the countries of the Eurasian space have in common. During these months, both expert and federal studies were conducted, along with group discussions utilizing advanced methods such as questionnaires and interviews. We now have the final results,” Galstyan said in a conversation with Alpha News.
According to Galstyan, family has been and remains the top traditional value priority among Armenian youth.
“If we present the results quite briefly, we would like to note that family continues to be a traditional value priority for us. Attitudes towards faith, homeland and statehood are also evident in our society; however, the research has uncovered concerning trends. We are talking about the obstacles and risks that both experts and young people see. This, first of all, concerns the policies pursued by the state and the government,” Galstyan noted.
