From business standpoint, ‘Tashir’ is strong. This is why they are being targeted by government – Alen Ghevondyan

The fact is that the attitude towards the opposition and the government remains negative, political analyst Alen Ghevondyan told Alpha News.

“When the public observes chaotic visions of the future, it tends to say: better a strong figure, even if not widely popular. And there is an interesting circumstance in the newly formed team—the presence of Samvel Karapetyan,” Ghevondyan said.

He noted that Samvel Karapetyan is a philanthropist and cannot be perceived as a political figure. According to the political analyst, Samvel Karapetyan has actually taken on the functions of the state.

“For many years, the Tashir Group of Companies’ work with the media remained closed. Only recently was it announced that Tashir had begun distributing backpacks to children. The authorities’ sarcastic response to this initiative distorts public perception. But rural communities need it, and Samvel Karapetyan is not involved in charity for the first time,” he said.

From a business standpoint, the political analyst noted, Tashir is a strong structure.

“This is a business, a support and social assistance center. In this sense, they are strong, and this is precisely why they’re being targeted by the current government,” Ghevondyan added.
