The supervisory committee of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) issued a statement regarding the final act of political adventurism surrounding the company.

“The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia plans to revoke the distribution license of the Electric Networks of Armenia, owned by Samvel Karapetyan, on November 13. This decision reveals the deeper political goals of the authorities—the beginning of a new, open stage of property redistribution. The process began when ENA’s owner, Samvel Karapetyan, became the target of fabricated criminal prosecution.

Now the same mechanism is being applied to his business structures—under the pretext of declaring ENA an object of ‘public priority’ and transferring it to state management. Terminating the license without any market or technical grounds means a clear encroachment on property rights.

It is equivalent to expropriation under the guise of compensation, which contradicts Article 60 of the Constitution of Armenia, as well as the principles of stability and predictability in the energy sector. Society will pay for the adventurism of Pashinyan’s government,” the statement reads.
