Steadfastness of Holy Etchmiadzin is your loyalty to Homeland and our Holy Church – Mother See statement

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has issued a statement expressing deep concern over the protests in society sparked by yet another statement from ten bishops.

“The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin calls for restraint from the Holy Fathers who have taken the initiative for a dangerous gathering. Responsibility must be shown to protect the people from catastrophic unrest and to act solely in accordance with the canonical procedures of the Church. The cherished feelings of the people must not be manipulated, nor should divisions be sown among the faithful children of the Church through a deliberately false agenda that undermines the peace and prayerful atmosphere of the Armenian spiritual center.

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin urges the faithful to remain calm and not to yield to the influence of such provocative statements. Dear people, let your steps toward the Mother See be an expression of prayer, solidarity, and unity. The steadfastness of Holy Etchmiadzin is your loyalty to the Homeland and to our Holy Church.
