US and Israel may strike Iran, but odds are fifty-fifty – Kirill Semyonov

Speaking with Alpha News, political scientist and Middle East conflict expert Kirill Semyonov commented on the situation around Iran.
“The US and Israel could, of course, strike Iran in the near future, but I would say the odds are about fifty-fifty. In other words, they may strike, or they may not—because there are arguments both for and against. The American administration has not yet decided so much on whether to strike, but rather on its format: what exactly they want to achieve, what goals they set, and what results they are aiming for. Many questions remain here,” the expert said.
According to Semyonov, it is possible that at this stage they may decide to hold back and postpone the operation.
“There is another possibility: at this stage they may ultimately hold back from striking and move the operation to a later date. This scenario also looks realistic. That is, the strike may not happen today, tomorrow, or next week, but perhaps in two weeks or even two months. We have already seen similar scenarios—for example, in Venezuela, where preparations took a long time and the decision was eventually made later,” Semyonov said.
