From military perspective, Iran is in unfavorable position – Zhanna Vardanyan

From a military perspective, Iran is in an unfavorable position; however, the longer it resists, the greater the likelihood that it will eventually be left alone and the war will come to an end, Iranologist Zhanna Vardanyan said in an interview with Alpha News.

Commenting on US President Donald Trump’s claim that it was the United States, not Israel, that first struck Iran, the expert emphasized: “Both countries have overlapping interests, and based on that, actions are being taken against Iran. If we follow Trump’s rhetoric and his demands toward Iran, it was expected that the United States could undertake such an operation.”

According to Vardanyan, Israel perceives Iran as an existential threat, which is why it currently supports the United States.
