In Europe, Pashinyan complains about his own people and church, seeking to get approval for electoral violations – Tigran Kocharyan

Alpha News editor-in-chief Tigran Kocharyan commented on constitutional changes, attempts to close the Artsakh chapter, and Nikol Pashinyan’s statements in Strasbourg.
According to Kocharyan, the constitutional amendment process is dictated from abroad and aims to legitimize Armenia’s concessions.
“It is no longer news that the new Constitution will be more of the ‘Western Azerbaijan’ Constitution rather than the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia. It is being imposed on the Armenian people under the instructions of Aliyev and Erdogan, with laws drafted by them,” he said.
Kocharyan noted that the upcoming referendum will not be a legal choice but an existential one: the Armenian people must decide whether they want to live in a sovereign Armenia or in some puppet state of Azerbaijan.
Referring to the dismissal of the director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, he said this was part of a clear policy to ban references to Artsakh.
“Pashinyan gets furious at the word ‘Artsakh.’ He declares that he has closed the Artsakh chapter, and if any institution head dares to reopen it, they are punished,” Kocharyan said.
According to him, Pashinyan’s behavior on international platforms, particularly in Strasbourg, was shameful. He argued that the country’s leader uses European podiums to complain about his own people, the church, and the opposition: “He is trying to get approval for the electoral violations he plans to carry out here, since without them he can no longer be re-elected.”
