With the resignation of Arayik Harutyunyan, Artsakh will close the page of its defeat, David Galstyan, the deputy of ‘Ardarutyun’ faction, told Alpha News.
David Galstyan thinks that Harutyunyan indirectly connected the Zangezur corridor with the Berdzor corridor, while this road is mentioned in a separate provision of the third-party ceasefire agreement, and the beneficiary of the Berdzor road is Artsakh.
He believes that the authorities of Artsakh and Armenia do not take significant actions in terms of the opening of the Berdzor corridor, saying that the road is not closed.
“We do not ask to remove the checkpoint. We only want to present it as a blockade, while we have to do everything to restore the aim of the corridor rather than talk about the delivery of humanitarian aid. This is how Arayik Harutyunyan lowers the bar. It is yet another defeat in the diplomatic arena”, the deputy said.
According to Galstyan, there is a zero probability that the conflict will be resolved if Harutyunyan remains president. Without him, the probability is 0.1%, however, he does not want to resign.
The resignation of Harutyunyan could be critical, with the whole world seeing the defeat of Artsakh, otherwise, Arayik Harutyunyan will continue the same policy as Nikol Pashinyan. As obvious evidence, he referred to the last interview of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, where he did not bring any direct accusations against Armenian authorities.
