“April 24 has personal significance for me”: Hakob Koulouchian
Dr. Hakob Koulouchian, a professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), told Alpha News that for him April 24 is not a political issue, but a deeply personal date.
“My father, his sisters and brothers belonged to the generation that survived the Armenian Genocide. They were in Deir ez-Zor. Listening to their stories, I felt the horror of the Genocide myself. That is why April 24, for me, is not a political issue, but a personal one,” Koulouchian noted.
According to him, no government has the right to use the issue of the Armenian Genocide for its own interests.
