The legitimacy problem with the election results exists regardless of the CC’s ruling: Robert Margaryan

If so many political forces are contesting the election results at once, this already demonstrates that there are serious questions about the legitimacy of the newly formed National Assembly, regardless of whatever decision the Constitutional Court makes. Robert Margaryan, political scientist, said this in a conversation with Alpha News.
“The Constitutional Court is a legal arena in which all available avenues had to be exhausted. That avenue has now been used, and as of today the discussions begin,” he said.
At the same time, Margaryan does not believe the CC will issue a ruling that contradicts Pashinyan’s political interests. In his view, the court’s decision will most likely align with the authorities’ expectations.
“A similar situation arose in 2021 as well. Now it is somewhat different, as an unprecedented number of political forces that participated in the elections have approached the CC demanding that the results be declared invalid. Different political forces have put forward different grounds: the radical opposition has its own arguments, while the ‘pocket opposition’ has its own,” the political scientist noted.
