Mourning ceremonies bidding farewell to Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the spiritual leader of Iran who was killed on February 28 in a US-Israeli attack, continue in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to an Alpha News correspondent, millions of citizens have taken to the streets of Tehran and other major cities across the country to honor the memory of the spiritual leader.

“Millions of people are taking part in the mourning procession. The streets are packed. This kind of human flow is being observed not only in Tehran, but in other cities across the country as well. The Iranian people are demonstrating firm support for their country, showing how they fight and resist,” the Alpha News correspondent noted.

It should be noted that the funeral of Iran’s supreme leader will take place on July 9 in his hometown of Mashhad.
