Ukrainian drones attack Turkish ship heading to Russia in Black Sea

A ship flying the flag of Cameroon, carrying fruits and vegetables from the Turkish city of Samsun to Novorossiysk, was attacked by Ukrainian drones, Turkish media report.
“As a result of a drone attack on the Turkish-owned ro-ro vessel NADEZHDA, which was carrying fresh fruits and vegetables from Turkey to Russia, a fire broke out,” the report states.
According to media reports, four crew members were injured in the attack, including three Turkish nationals. The ship was sailing from the Turkish port of Samsun to Novorossiysk. The attack occurred at around 4:30 p.m., 30 nautical miles from the Russian coast.
The ship’s captain, Yalсin Sahin, told the newspaper that Ukraine carried out the attack using six to seven drones. According to the outlet, assistance is already on the way from Russia, but the situation is complicated by the activity of Ukrainian drones in the area.
