Armenia has proposed that Kyrgyzstan join it in building the “Trump Route,” media reports

RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has proposed that Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan become shareholders in the TRIPP project, which plans to create a transport route from Azerbaijan to Nakhichevan via Armenia. As part of this proposal, Yerevan is ready to grant each country 5% of its share in the project, the Kyrgyz website open. kg reports.

The proposal was discussed during a phone conversation between Pashinyan and Kazakh President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev.

At the first stage, Armenia is expected to receive a 26% share in the joint TRIPP project, which is called “Trump’s Route for International Peace and Prosperity.” From this share, Yerevan is offering Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan 5% each.

Thus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan could become not just participants in the new transport route, but also its shareholders, the publication writes. During the conversation, the possibility of transferring the management of Armenian railways to Kazakhstan was also discussed. Astana is seen as a potential partner capable of taking a more active stance in this area. Following the conversation, Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev confirmed his intention to visit Armenia on an official visit in October.

For Kyrgyzstan, participation in TRIPP is of interest in terms of expanding transport and trade ties in Eurasia. However, for now, this is only a proposal from Armenia, and there has been no official information about Kyrgyzstan’s consent to become a shareholder in the project, the website reports.
