Criminal prosecution of Alen Ghevondyan discontinued

The public criminal prosecution of political scientist Alen Ghevondyan has been discontinued. He announced this on his Facebook page.

As a reminder, a criminal case had been opened against Ghevondyan over a post on the Facebook social network. According to the Investigative Committee, Ghevondyan “publicly called for the seizure of power and the overthrow of the constitutional order.”
